In an ancient text I read,

     "What a person can conceive and believe they can achieve."

This quote is not an exact quote. I changed it to accommodate my mother and her gender. I do so happily but only after lengthy and difficult self searching, soul searching.

Infinitely more important to me is that I put this to the test in my circumstances and learned what it meant for me.

Allegorical testimonies many times left me cold when they were told to convince me, as a boy, to live my life as a Christian.

As so it is my habit to personalize these things to accommodate this brain God gave me. In many ways it was fantastic, prone to great imaginations, capable of learning, controlling all my body functions. I learned to control pain and enjoy my senses, experiences and joy. I developed my powers of rationalization long before I had a notion as to what the word meant.

Raised in the Bible Belt of the U.S.A. I was indoctrinated into the Protestant Faith as a Southern Baptist.

    Your default concern as a person, in your private life, is your passion. Meaning your deepest desire.  For starters, make sure you know something about what it is you want to achieve. In my case it comes from a deep indoctrination into the Christian Faith. Plus I want to write fiction.

     But say,  revenge is what you perceive  as your passion. Try to educate yourself, think, ask yourself... where does it come from, what is the theme it will naturally lead to. And start the dialogue in a journal or notebook. It will be a journey and you best pay attention , take notes,....

     What will that look like if I achieve my goal... I suggest you ask yourself. Is that your thinking or your handler or a movie you saw.


What is the historical evidence that revenge is a good goal to have. How did it work out in the past.

If a goal is self destructive and destructive to others it's a form of insanity to pursue such a goal...          
   
If your perceived passion is destructive, it's a FLAW.

We don't live in a perfect world so you might pursue Justice as a alternative and on the surface, well it is a better choice.

However JUSTICE, the real thing may take a long time,  .

Treat your neighbor well and take care of yourself. Work for Justice but Love one another.
